Accessibility

Our customers are most often between the ages of 55 and 75. Many use assistive technology — screen readers, screen magnification, keyboard navigation, or voice control. We design the site to work with them.

What we do

• Body type is set in Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute for low-vision readers.
• Base font size is 17px, larger than the typical 16px web default, to reduce eye strain.
• Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA on every text/background pair.
• All interactive elements have visible focus indicators.
• Links are underlined by default — no reliance on color alone for affordance.
• Tap targets are minimum 44×44 pixels.
• Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion and are disabled when that setting is on.
• Forms have visible labels (not placeholder-only) and inline validation.
• The site works without JavaScript for browsing and reading content.

Standards

We aim for conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We audit the site quarterly and after any significant change.
